Adding Page Listing to Problogger theme
It’s relatively simple actually. You just need a little bit of code and some tweaking, and you’re good to go.
Once you figure out where you want to place it ( I replaced the about section with it), open up your sidebar file in the theme editor, and add something like this:
< ?php wp_list_pages('title_li='); ?>
This is how it appears on my site. For more info on the wp_list_pages() function and the styling of it, check out the codex
Starwars Games
Starwars has one of the largest fan followings, and the most room for canon-based entertainment, so why can’t any make an excellent starwars game? There are several good ones out, like the KOTOR series and Battlefront series, but I wouldn’t rate them as excellent. There is nothing new or fresh about them. One is your standard, linear based RPG, and the other is a simple FPS game. Can we get some innovation (besides the LEGO one)?
How bout this: Take Morrowind, possible one of the greatest, open ending RPGs out there, and combing it with KOTOR. Huge, open planets (or perhaps just huge tracts of planets like Morrowind), multiple planets, open ended story line, more real time fighting, wider array of stats and skills. Perhaps like Starwars Galaxies, just not a crappy mmorpg.
However, this won’t be around for a while. The disk space required to store all the textures and maps and character skins would be ridiculous.
But we can dream, can’t we?
Holiday movies you wish you never had to see again
1. A Christmas Story
Every time winter approaches, this movie dominates the air waves. Everyone in the world knows about the Red Ryder BB gun and what happens there after. Its grouped as a comedy movie, but the only funny thing about is how the networks get away with playing it every day for sever hours.
2. A Charlie Brown…
Charlie Brown movies are the ultimate kid movies for holidays. Full of well meaning moral and ethical teaching, as well as oh-so-funny scenes and the despairing depression of Charlie Brown, who could be wrong with it? Other than the fact that every station but the kid networks play it, nothing, except that it gets followed by CSI: Cliche.
3. Planes, Trains & Automobiles
Much to my suprise, not one station around me seemed to play this movie. It is a great moviel; a comedic goldmine, its just that I’m sick of seeing it. Its one of those movies that the funny scenes have been seen so much, they’re not funny anymore. Kinda like the Griswald movies.
4. Groundhog Day
I hesitated at including this, as I not sure how many people would consider Groundhog day a holiday movie, but I need to put it there. Interesting plot idea, the whole repeating thing, but after seeing it six times in a row, I could repeat it line for line. And the end puts too much emphasis on learning a lesson. *shudder*
5. It’s a Wonderful Life, Miracle on 34th Street, a Christmas Carol
These movies are the apex of famous Christmas movies. And I’m damn tired of seeing them. Maybe if someone got hit with a pie or something, or fell down a flight of stairs in a comical manner, they’d be better.
SOAD
System of a Down, one of the best band EVAR, put out their new album, Hypnotize. Its the ’sister cd’ to Mesmerize. Quite a good album. Definently worth getting. If you plan to buy the cd, F34R TH3 R00TK|T. Maybe buy some merchandise instead, ok?
